Less than a week after it was reported that New York City Mayor, Eric Adams, was using taxpayer dollars to buy bus tickets to Canada and using the National Guard to hand them out to illegal migrants, Canada has had enough and is asking the Mayor to stop shipping his migrant crisis to its border.

It's interesting to see the cities, states, and countries that once touted themselves as sanctuaries now turning away the very people they vowed to be sanctuaries for.

The Canadian province most fed up with Adams' recent scheme is Quebec, Canada's second-most populated province.

According to a spokesperson for Quebec Premier Francois Legault, "Any form of assistance to migrants crossing the border where it is strictly forbidden to do so should stop immediately."

"We understand that the situation of migrants in New York posts major challenges, but the situation in Quebec and particularly Montreal is even worse and constitutes an important humanitarian issue," the spokesman added.

Adams' bus ticket scheme was moving illegal immigrants from New York City to upstate Plattsburgh close to the Canadian border. Once the migrants arrive in Plattsburgh, they take vans or taxis to a cul-de-sac at the end of Roxham Road in Champlain, NY, where they walk across the border into Canada to surrender to Canadian Mounties and seek asylum.

According to the spokesperson, Montreal, in particular, has been so overwhelmed with migrants arriving from New York that it has been struggling to provide housing or other public services to the new border crossers. The flood of school-age migrants has also posed a huge problem, with enough children arriving to fill 13 new schools.

Now that the humanitarian nightmare caused by the migrant crisis is making its way up north, more and more sanctuary cities have begun to complain about the issue and are quick to ship any new arrivals far away as soon as possible, with Martha's Vineyard removing migrants from the island within 48 hours of their arrival and Adams handing off migrants to Canada. The question now is, where will Canada send its migrants?
