On September 12th, a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing took place about book bans. The “banned books” label gives off puritanical-vibes, as if the world is being deprived of true works of genius. In this case, pornos geared towards children have been disguised as seminal pieces from the fringiest fringe of the protected class that educators are to spend their summer solstice disseminating, looking for ways to impart their recently learned knowledge unto their students.

Senator McCarthy read an excerpt from one of the banned books, Gender Queer:

I got a new strap-on harness today. I can’t wait to put it on you. It will fit my favorite dildo perfectly. You’re going to look so hot. I can’t wait to have your cock in my mouth. I’m going to give you the blow-job of your life. Then I want you inside of me.”

Secretary of State of Illinois Alexi Giannoulias, said, “the words you spoke are disturbing.” And he’s a grown man.

This past summer, the NEA (National Education Association), America’s largest teachers union, recommended its 3 million members read Gender Queer.

On the NEA’s website, it lays out why. “Our Mission, Vision, & Values. We are as diverse as the students we represent, but united in our purpose: championing justice and excellence in public education.” The NEA is an activist organization. Activism and education are divorced because educators are supposed to teach children how to think, not what to think. The NEA states clearly that social justice is its focal point and it decides through its subjective lens what is social justice.

Also on NEA’s website, “Great Summer Reads for Educators! Stretch out on a beach (or in your backyard), slather on your sunscreen, and dive into these summer reading recommendations from NEA Today.”

The eight “recommended” books are fitted into gleeful sections like, “BANNED BOOKS: CELEBRATE THE FREEDOM TO READ!” and “BOOKS TO CELEBRATE OR UNDERSTAND JUNETEENTH.” Apparently to understand Juneteenth, one needs to read White Fragility, written by a white woman. Author DiAngelo basically tells the world how white people are all racists. There’s no section for the summer reading on July 4th (just Juneteenth - the only holiday NEA recognizes on the list). Ironically, there’s an

“Editor’s note: Educators read diverse books so that they can better understand their colleagues, students, and families they serve. The books here are not recommended for students.”

Question, NEA; if these books aren’t recommended for students, why are they recommended to educators by the NEA? Do recommendations include other things that have nothing to do with students? The entire premise is a total joke to absolve the NEA from acting like child groomers, perverts, and sexually exploiting children.

Becky Pringle, president of the NEA, should be ashamed. She “declared that racial and social justice is a 'pillar of NEA's efforts.”

It’s clear what isn’t a pillar of NEA’s efforts, reading and math. Two thirds of our nation’s fourth graders aren’t fourth grade level proficient in reading and math. How about Pringle spending less time worrying about “blow-jobs” and White Fragility and more time being concerned about hiring educators that understand traditional core curriculum, believe in academic excellence, and have brushed up on how to teach math and English?
