Six young Venezuelan illegals robbed an Upper East Side Target store on April 2nd. Two of the arrestees already have rap sheets. The crime was committed just four short blocks from where Nathan Hale was hanged in 1776, as The Manhattan recently reported.
Of the six, five were arrested and one escaped. Two violently assaulted an arresting officer.

At their arraignment today, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Jay Wiener was exceedingly lenient. Only one of the alleged perpetrators, Brayan Frietes, 21, remains in custody on Riker's Island. He and Yusneiby Machado, 23, allegedly attacked an officer, who was treated for injuries to his arm and released. Machado was released without bail on "supervised release."
The three remaining arrestees were released without bail.
As noted in the New York Post, "They left a trail of destruction as they snatched up a gaming light, a backpack, tools and assorted grub including Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, Doritos, strawberries and bottled waters."
Perhaps they were just hungry, and planned to use the tools to seek gainful employment in the trades.
