Donald Trump is scheduled to dine with Polish president Andrzej Duda tonight in Trump Tower. The meeting, confirmed by Duda's camp and Trump's, is bound to draw scrutiny, if only due to overlap with the ongoing Trump trial.

Duda is perceived by Polish conservatives as a good leader. At the end of the day, he is a politician, and he regualrly meets with world leaders on the left and right.

The dinner is unremarkable on its face; after all, Trump is the leading presidential candidate, and Duda is a shrewd politician. It behooves him to meet with global leaders. Trump, hamstrung by his lawfare trial, just happens to have room on his dance card.

Still, it's nice to see Trump making daily headlines based on his extracurricular activities even while his enemies seek to mute his presidential campaign.
