I was invited to join Jazz Night at Westport VFW Post 399 recently, and boy was I impressed! This is world class entertainment!
The best kept secret in Westport!
We are told people take the train up from NYC just for Jazz Night! And Westport, it's at your finger tips every week!
For over 100 years, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 399 in Westport has steadfastly supported veterans and the local community. Every Thursday, VFW Post 399 hosts world-class jazz performances, establishing itself as the premier destination for live entertainment in the area. In addition to its musical offerings, the post is dedicated to vital community services, declared Post Quartermaster Phil Delgado.
This month marks a significant milestone as VFW Post 399 hosts its 48th consecutive monthly Red Cross Blood Drive. Over the years, this initiative has attracted more than 2,000 donors, with each unit of blood collected having the potential to save the lives of three individuals. Phil Delgado, Quartermaster of VFW Post 399, emphasized the ongoing mission of the organization: “Our mission continues to support veterans throughout Fairfield County, which boasts the third largest veteran population in Connecticut, numbering 29,295. We can't do all, can’t do it alone and can’t do it without help.”
