Remember this name: Alex Strenger. He's going places.
Strenger, a conservative comedian, used a book signing as an opportunity to troll former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Strenger waited in line at the signing of Pelosi's new book, “The Art of Power”.
His disguise consisted of a "White Dudes For Harris" t-shirt, a Bernie Sanders cap, and a face mask. The mask was a smart choice given that he is becoming more recognizable after his trolling at the DNC, where he posed as the same caricature of a leftist male--more on that in a moment.
The signing was held at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin on Saturday. Strenger started off in an ingratiating manner, praising Pelosi. “I appreciate your, like, fierce, staunch defending of democracy, it really means so, so much, you know?”
He then played the TDS card. "I honestly, the only chance, like, that we have, is for Donald Trump to spend the rest of his life in prison,” Strenger said.
Then he pivoted to the punchline while security began to shove him backwards: "I just want to know which stocks I should buy?"
You may recall Strenger trolling reporters at the DNC in Chicago, as seen in the video below. His act was so convincing that many who saw his antics online believed he was the genuine article.
"My wife, right? We're in a polyamorous relationship, and the lover that my wife took is African-American, and I've learned so much about the struggle that people of color go through," Strenger deadpans while wearing a Pan-African rasta hat.
Perhaps the most impressive part of the comic's routines is how he manages to keep a straight face. Calling Pelosi "the greatest options trader of all time" to her face would have most of us in stitches. Speaking of stitches, Paul Pelosi was not present at the signing.
Strenger also raps! Well, kind of. But before you diss his monotonous delivery, consider that it's part of the joke, yo. Joe Biden's pedophilia is not a laughing matter. The fact that half of the nation has decided to look the other way and nervously chuckle about Biden's well-documented history of incestuous and pedophilic behavior informs Strenger's dead tone and flat aspect.
The unimaginative chorus--"he's a pedo, he's a pedo, he's a pedo, he's a pedo"--is better suited to the sad reality of the situation than a highly produced hook and slick rhymes.
Remember the name. At this pace, he'll be as well known as, say, Alex Stein (and it turns out the two are friends!).
