• Sean Combs Granted Permission To Seek Bail For 3rd Time (And Why We Bother To Report It)

    Sean Combs (X screencap).

Since September 16th--almost two months ago--one of the richest music moguls in the world has lived in the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center, a facility that is by all accounts miserable and filthy. It's harder with every passing day to find anyone feeling much sympathy for the rapper/producer.

Combs' previous bail hearings were hamstrung due to extreme flight risk, and judiciary concerns that he might tamper with witnesses.

Nevertheless, Combs' attorneys have won the right to request bail for a third time. Two previous requests were denied in September and October, respectively. The trial is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025--Cinqo de Mayo.

The tidal wave of allegations against Combs have subsided recently, but ugly alleged details continue to trickle in. Reports of minors involved. And the scope of the attendees is apparently wider than previously thought.

An editorial note here, as The Manhattan, and CDMedia outlets generally, don't cover TMZ-style gossip: we have chosen to shed light on the Combs case for several reasons.

    • Combs is a native New York son. His footprint on the city and indeed on the East Coast music scene is indelible, like him or not.
    • We always take allegations of pedophilia seriously until they are proven false, as children have no natural allies in legacy media.
    • Many celebrities that perennially turn out in droves for liberal politicians are allegedly complicit in support of Combs by virtue of their patronage of his parties.
    • Combs is being held in Brooklyn, and his case will proceed in the city.

Indeed, the list of celebrities who attended Combs' now infamous parties is larger than previously thought, according to TMZ's Harvey Levin. If anyone would know such stuff, Levin is it.

One of Combs' alleged paid dancer at his parties, Adria English, has come forward to testify to some deeply disturbing accusations shown on The People's Voice. While this is the word of a stripper versus a star, such tawdry stuff is hardly unprecedented in recent history, from the love child of Hunter Biden and dancer Lunden Roberts, to the hush money trial involving Stormy Daniels and president-elect Donald Trump, this scenario is part of the zeitgeist.

While The Manhattan does not vouch for English's allegations, as someone formerly close to Combs, her descriptions of life inside the mogul's party scene deserve a perusal. Judge for yourself.

To hear English tell it, Combs operated like Jeffrey Epstein, capturing his guests engaging in acts of pedophilia and other vile acts in order to gather blackmail material.

It is worth noting that Combs is being held at a Brooklyn facility very similar to the Metropolitan Correctional Center where Epstein is alleged to have met his end. It's worth noting that another high profile "suicide" would save a lot of face in the celebrity world.
