More positive news for president-elect Donald Trump: a request to file for dismissal in the "hush money" case has been granted by Judge Juan Merchan.

Following on the heels of Friday's indefinite delay of sentencing in the same case, the move by Merchan is being hailed by Trump spokesman Steven Cheung as a "decisive victory" for Trump, as reported by Fox News.

"In a decisive win for President Trump, the hoax Manhattan Case is now fully stayed and sentencing is adjourned," Cheung told Fox News Digital. "President Trump won a landslide victory as the American People have issued a mandate to return him to office and dispose of all remnants of the Witch Hunt cases."

Cheung added: "All of the sham lawfare attacks against President Trump are now destroyed and we are focused on Making America Great Again."

    Ay-Oh-Seeing The Light?

In other local political news, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is signaling a softer stance against conservatives, or at the least, curiosity about what informs the conservative conscience.

Dave Rubin, Michael Knowles, and Gad Saad discussed AOC's apparent entreaty to MAGA Republicans last week on Rubin's podcast. Saad in particular noted that this is not an isolated phenomenon, and some liberals are beginning to ask questions about how they misjudged the American electorate so completely.

A similar view was expressed by New York Times columnist David Brooks in a November 14 op-ed.
