Some New Yorkers feel free to vent beneath the street vents. You hear it from time to time, some straphanger just unloading on another unlucky rider.
This week, there seems to be a new energy in the air. Not that The Manhattan condones singling out the gender dysphoric or non-English speakers, but it's been a long time since we've seen back-to-back incidents where native New Yorkers have felt their oats enough to speak out against foreign invaders and degenerate culture.

In the example above, a seasoned railrider felt compelled to call out a fantasy LARPer. The young man reacted harshly to the plainspoken wisdom of the elderly black woman. She informed him, sans nuance:
"You are a man! You confused."
The young man replied with a good deal of bluster, resorting to a racist trope, calling out her cellular device as an "Obama phone" and claiming that his(?) "struggle" is "for real".
It's frustrating to interact with "Americans" who don't speak our native language. Just this week, The Manhattan took an Uber ride and learned en voyage that the driver didn't speak the common lingo of our shared soil.
Hey, it happens.
You better believe it 😂

In a recent incident on a New York City subway, tensions flared when a Black woman confronted a Latino woman for speaking Spanish on her phone. This altercation quickly escalated, with the Black woman shouting, “Learn English, bitch, or get deported!” pic.twitter.com/z6XULrE8wo
That said, last week, a lady on the subterranean train took offense to another lady of questionable provenance. When a one-sided argument about the volume of the outsider's phone boiled over, the local commuter made her feelings known. The climax of their interaction was a harsh rejoinder: "Learn English, b**ch, or get deported!"
Elections, after all, have consequences.
