Mayor Eric Adams has seen more bad days than good since beginning his term. But today, we caught a glimpse of the fighter, the practical cop, the native son that much of the city thought it elected in 2022.
While fielding questions from the press about illegal aliens in the city, Adams made a few strong observations.

"Those who are here committing crimes, robberies, shooting at police officers, raping innocent people...those are the people I'm talking about. And I would love to sit down with the border czar and hear his thoughts," Adams declared.
A reporter, perhaps not trusting his ears, asked disbelievingly, "You think the city should, in some circumstances, cooperate with ICE?"
Adams chuckled.
"I want you to all go back and google Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Google what they said about those who commit crimes...they said those who commit crimes need to get out right away...that was their position. So this is not a new position...in the era of cancel culture, no one's afraid to be honest about the truth. Well, cancel me. Because I am going to protect the people of this city. If you come into this city...and harm our citizens...this is not the mayor you want to be in the city under."

That's the kind of fighting spirit New Yorkers love. Keep it up, Mayor Adams. This is the kind of leadership that makes people forget about Diddy party rumors. There's not a sane taxpaying voter who wants more South American gangs and cartel members in the Big Apple.
