The Daniel Penny verdict was announced this afternoon, albeit only in part. The prosecution has decided to drop the more serious charge of manslaughter after the jury failed to reach a decision on the charge. However, they will reconvene on Monday to decide on the charge of criminal negligence.
🚨 DANIEL PENNY IS STILL FACING 4 YEARS IN PRISON!

Alvin Bragg and the judge just made their next best effort to screw Daniel Penny.
Instead of declaring a hung jury, the judge granted the prosecution’s request to dismiss the more serious manslaughter charge and bring back the…
Penny, 26, faced the charges after he intervened on a New York City subway to restrain Jordan Neely, 30, a former subway entertainer who, in recent years, had succumbed to drug addiction.
Absolutely insane, must-watch clip of Daniel Penny's prosecutor Dafna Yoran. She talks about how she reduced a clear cut felony murder charge to (manslaughter?) because she "felt sorry for the past trauma" that the armed robber had endured. "Restorative justice" insanity. pic.twitter.com/KpJg8GHmt5

The prosecutor in the case is Dafna Yoran. She is an assistant District Attorney to Alvin Bragg, and has come under fire on social media for her woke and racist views.
Neely has also caught flak online as his arrest record has come to light. While some claim he is the victim, others blame a system that would allow a career criminal to roam the streets, harassing citizens and tourists.
An overview of Daniel Penny’s case as we await the verdict:

Jordan Neely had 42 prior arrests and should never have been on the streets of New York.
The only person who should be on trial in this case is NY District Attorney, Alvin Bragg:

The other noteworthy development in the past week: Neely's parents, who had parted ways with their son while he was still alive, are now attempting to benefit from his death. The Neelys filed a civil suit against Penny yesterday during jury deliberations.
In so doing, the bereaved parents opened themselves up to a countersuit, in the case that Penny and his attorneys have the will to proceed and believe they have standing.
Jordan Neely's parents are suing Daniel Penny over the death of their son. Nevermind the coroner's report. Nevermind the fact that they abandoned him and forced him to live out on the street for years instead of having him institutionalized when he posed a danger to them. pic.twitter.com/ObK83a0iAi
