• The Left Trying To Drive A Wedge Between Trump And Musk, Will It Work? It Did With Bannon...

DOGE point man Elon Musk railed against the latest Continuing Resolution (CR) omnibus bill, and rightly so. His efforts--along with those of many other prominent conservatives--were successful. Now the left is trying to use the government shutdown victory to needle president-elect Donald Trump's ego.

We've seen this kind of coordinated attack before: progressive shills and pols sending hundreds of tweets saying the same thing, only to be mocked for their copy-paste antics. Well, give them credit: they've learned to alter their verbiage.

    Who?

Whoopi Goldberg, Rep. Brad Sherman, Adam Kinzinger, legacy media talking heads, and the usual retinue of paid leftist shills like JoJo from Jerz, the Krassenstein twins, and on and on: the punchline?

    "President Musk"

Will it work? We hate to say it, but it might.

If history is a guide in this matter, one need only recall the ugly saga that was the parting of ways between Trump and Steve Bannon.

The man Trump once called "the best talent in politics" was cast aside during the whirlwind first term of the business magnate.

At the time, the consensus opinion in the Beltway was that Bannon, after his meteoric rise within the Trump 2016 campaign, had become too big a part of the story. That he was diverting too much attention away from Trump, and was seen as the brains of the administration.

The truth is more complex. Bannon made several missteps. He was removed from the White House, and subsequently, from Trump's inner circle. He failed to get Roy Moore elected in an Alabama senate race, and then made a crucial mistake when he went against a Trump family member--Don Jr.--concerning his meeting with a Russian lawyer. Loyalty and family are Trumpian cornerstones of the MAGA movement.

    Friendship status: nuked.

    New Story, Please!

Here we are again, and Trump has once again surrounded himself with top talent. The question is, can he take the heat? We know he can dish it.

Has Trump 2.0 matured to see past the goading?

He certainly took the bait in his debate with Kamala Harris, slipping back into his worst look for a few moments...over crowd sizes. It was catnip for the left.

That said, we--the conservative side of these online wars over the latest bit of daily clickbait--have upped our game too. We volleyed back the left's shot adroitly and en masse.

The question is, this time, can Trump see the situation as clearly as his supporters do?
