They said it would take years, maybe decades. They said that it was cost-prohibitive.
They were wrong.
They underestimated American patriots who work for ICE and the DHS. They underestimated the Trump Effect. And the results speak as loudly as the mandate President Trump was given with his 312-226 Electoral College victory: nearly 1,000 criminal aliens caught in a single day in the US (962, to be exact).
As reported by the New York Post, the country became measurably safer yesterday. Arrests included a convicted child rapist and 22 Tren de Aragua gang members.

Luis Felipe Duran-Hernandez was convicted of raping a child under the age of 13. He had been deported from the US four times, but under Biden-Harris, the concept of a border became as nebulous as what defines a woman.
In addition to the arrests, the US deported 794 illegals on Wednesday, and issued 860 detainers requesting the transfer of illegals into federal custody.
Those are, as Trump might say, big league numbers.
Sadly, not everyone is pulling their weight. Mayors, governors, and lawmakers across the country are continuing to resist the will of the people, often in direct dereliction of their duties and the US Constitution.
One example that got traction on social media was a Georgia police officer who is apparently named Vero Arnold, perhaps short for Veronica. She is from Lilburn, an exurb of Atlanta.
WOW 🚨 Atlanta, Georgia Police Officer Veronica Arnold goes on social media to reassure illegals in Spanish that the police are not after them and update them on ICE

The officer posted a selfie video in uniform, sitting in her cruiser. The video is in Spanish, with English subtitles. She claimed that she and other officers are not working with ICE, and that when they arrest someone, even if they know that individual is "undocumented", they don't report the case to ICE.
"So I don't know if this can help the community and calm you down a little bit...I know you want me to tell you when there are going to be raids and all that, but in reality, we as police don't know," the officer said.
The optics for the Lilburn Police Department are horrendous: a uniformed cop making a social media post while on duty, speaking directly to criminal aliens, trying to make them feel safe...instead of the taxpayers who pay her salary to protect the public from criminals.
