Gustavo Petro seems to have found out after a few days of futzing around.
The Colombian president, initially defiant of President Donald Trump, quickly changed his tune after Trump threatened a 25% tariff on Colombian goods. Petro went so far as to send his presidential jetliner to ferry home criminal alien citizens.
In an early morning Friday tweet, Petro actively encouraged Colombians in the US illegally to return home. To sweeten the deal, he's offering incentives: his government's "Department of Social Prosperity" will offer credits to prodigal sons and daughters.
"I ask undocumented Colombians in the US to immediately leave their jobs in that country and return to Colombia as soon as possible. Wealth is produced only by working people", part of the translated-from-Spanish tweet read.
Petro initially claimed that he would not repatriate flights full of Colombians who were in the US illegally, stating that his "bloodline" would not allow it. Within hours, he changed his stance.

Under the global spotlight due to his bombastic comments, some of Petro's secrets have begun to surface. It seems that the tough-talking Latino supports the trans movement, and not just with words. Petro, who has been married for 25 years, was spotted on a date with a trans woman in Panama.
In now-viral footage, Petro is seen holding hands with the buxom Linda Yepes, a newscaster by trade.
Colombian President Gustavo Petro, who is now trying to be a “tough guy” to Trump, was caught over the summer allegedly cheating on his wife with a transgender.

Petro, who claimed not to be gay after the incident became public in July, said that his critics over the incident are transphobic.
Petro previously made waves in the transgender world when he named a trans woman as his director of the Department of Sex Workers under the Colombian Ministry of Equality in 2012.
