Artificial intelligence is transforming the podcasting landscape, enabling the mass production of shows with entirely virtual hosts a shift that’s disrupting an industry still built on fragile business models, reported APP.

Since Google introduced Audio Overview, the first mass-market podcast generator that creates programs from documents and other text inputs, several startups including ElevenLabs and Wondercraft have entered the field.

These AI tools can produce complete, conversational podcasts no studio, no recording, and no human hosts required.

A leading player, Inception Point AI, founded in 2023, produces around 3,000 podcasts weekly with just eight employees.
