After incidents in Lahaina, western North Carolina, and Los Angeles, there is a heightened awareness of possible weather manipulation by nefarious government agencies.

Torrential rains on Thursday, October 30, 2025, caused severe flash flooding in Brooklyn, resulting in the death of a 39-year-old man in East Flatbush who was attempting to rescue his dogs from a flooded basement apartment. The storm brought nearly three inches of rain in just a few hours, overwhelming drainage systems and submerging streets, cars, and basements across the borough. A flash flood warning was in effect for Brooklyn, including Flatbush and Crown Heights, until 5:30 PM EDT, with life-threatening flooding reported.
