In a chilling sign for the Kamala Harris campaign, two prominent Democrats up for reelection have come out with ads that align them with Trump explicitly and implicitly, respectively.
And both are in swing states.
First, Sen. Bob Casey (PA-D) aired a new ad in which a woman's voiceover gushes that Casey "bucked Biden to protect fracking, and he sided with Trump to end NAFTA" and supported tariffs on China "to stop them from cheating".
Sen. Tammy Baldwin sees which way the wind is blowing as well. In her new ad, she touts Trump signing her "Made In America" bill, and cites Biden signing it into law. Okay, one might say, she's presenting herself as a uniter.
Fair enough, but an ad within weeks of an election that mentions Trump in a positive light, and doesn't mention Kamala Harris at all? In a swing state?
Jim Gaffigan is a not a fan of Donald Trump. And yes, he was doing a paid gig at the Al Smith dinner last night...but if he wasn't trying to, ahem, broaden his audience, he would've pulled this punch that eviscerated the entire Harris campaign:
Gaffigan quipped, "The Democrats have been telling us Trump's reelection is a threat to democracy. In fact, they were so concerned of this threat, they staged a coup, ousted their democratically elected incumbent, and installed Kamala Harris."
Ouch.
