President Trump declared he has ordered the U.S. Development Finance Corporation to provide “political risk insurance and guarantees for the Financial Security of ALL Maritime Trade, especially Energy, traveling through the Gulf.” POTUS said this via his Truth Social account.

The President also ordered U.S. Naval escort for shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

The economic effects of the conflict already are real with oil spiking approximately $10/barrel. This could enflame inflation, and suppress business activity heading into the midterm elections.
