Fox 5 (New York) reported that NYPD Detective Michael Greaney saved a choking baby. The incident happened along the Bronx River Parkway.
Detective Greaney said that he was on his way to work when he saw the car in the emergency shoulder. The baby's father told him that the child was choking.
Greaney said that he has two young children of his own, and he could understand how the father was feeling.
"All sorts of emotion. Panic. Shock. Terrified," said Greaney. "So I was glad to relieve him of all of those emotions. I'm happy she's going to be here for Christmas."
Fox 5 reported that the child now is doing just fine.
