Fox 5 (New York) reported that a man was arrested and facing murder charges for a lethal bow-and-arrow attack on another man in Kearny, New Jersey west of Manhattan.
"Questions are swirling in the community over exactly what happened," said news presenter Dan Bowens.
The victim was walking down the street when the arrow piercing his back.
According to reporter Jessica Formoso, regarding the victim, "His wife says he was a hard-working man who was walking home from work."
His wife was talking to him on the phone just before he was killed.
After allegedly killing the victim, the suspect barricaded himself inside his residence. He then allegedly started two fires inside his home. After an 18-hour standoff, the suspect surrendered and was quickly taken into custody.
Formos also said that neighbors thought that the suspect was unstable and frightening.
