We actually found something Republicans and Democrats definitely agree about. Few have a positive outlook on the future of American politics and trust the system.
New Yorkers are so turned off that since November, record numbers of those who have considered leaving the state are in record numbers.
New Yorkers are so turned off to politics as usual in New York that many continue to change their party registration to Independent. They don’t care about primaries. They don’t care about party leadership and monthly meetings. They are sick of the quality of life.
High taxes, waits for medical services and supplies, failing education opportunities, lack of quality employment, trash on the streets, homeless and mentally challenged people harassing them, unsafe public transportation, headlines in the news we question, representatives from both extremes, transportation failures, broken infrastructures, entertainment we can’t escape with…
Right now the public is viewing an old black and white television with repeats of shows we didn’t like when they first ran. If you need proof, go on the streets and ask people which movies are up for awards and to take a guess how much money Hollywood made this year? The answer is it lost more than $500 billion- yes with a b- at market value.
That's our fun. Our government is at a loss in the trillions, with a t.

The party that takes a step back, goes into the streets and actually shakes the hands and gives their ears to the voters of America will actually be very similar to the United Kingdom, knowing who will reign the next decades and centuries.
Common sense republicans and democrats want similar things, just look differently on how to get it.
Voter integrity, which could be as simple as voter identification photos, campaign finance restructuring, transparency and accountability of committees and county leaderships, term limits, limits of perks such as insider knowledge of investments and security are just a few.
When people have trust in their local party organizations, issues will fall into place. The party that addresses it will control local, state and national victories and agendas.
Courts
The biggest conflict that we have today is that the judicial system has become the biggest tool in a party’s tool chest. Instead of using the screwdriver to seek justice for all and prove in a court of all that people are all innocent before proven guilty by a group of their peers examining testimony and evidence, we hammer the system with bias and falsehoods.
As long as our right to a system of laws and discipline are at stake, our entire government fails.
We need to walk into ballot booths and know about judges to choose from. Too often, judges are on both major party lines and there are no choices. How does this happen? Why does this conveniently help party leaders as a result of closed door meetings?
We also need to learn more about the board of elections. Who works there and how did they get their jobs? How do they account for transparency and accuracy at the buildings where all takes place?
We Can Agree
Most of us aren’t interested in the 2024 presidential campaign, the congressional campaigns or the many senatorial campaigns that will change the face of Washington. Most of us realize both parties welcome everyone and allow minorities to hold office. It leads us to a very sensible solution…let’s go back to voting for the best candidate. Let’s support merit. Let’s hear solutions on the campaign trail that we can collaborate on and actually support.
We became a world superpower without Tik Tok, without filters on our cell phone and without more filth than people walking safely on our streets. We became a superpower because of respect for authority, pride in learning English as a first language and family dinners that included a variety of foods and conversations.
2023 is the year of the local election. Let’s make it the year of the local collaboration of saving a two party system voters actually will vote for next November.
