    Gov. Hochul (X screencap).

In a press release on Friday, Gov. Kathy Hochul claimed that the rifle used by the supermarket shooter in Buffalo, NY was equipped with a bump stock. In May of 2022, Payton Gendron opened fire in the parking lot of the Tops Friendly Market. He shot four people, killing three. He then entered the store and proceeded to shoot ten others, killing seven, for a total of ten dead and three injured.

Shortly after the shooting, Hochul claimed that Gendron obtained the weapon legally, but made "illegal modifications" to it. Photos of the AR-platform rifle show no evidence of any modifications, legal or otherwise.

In the style of Brenton Tarrant, the Christchurch, New Zealand mass shooter, the rifle was embellished with the names of other mass shooters such as Robert Bowers and Dylan Roof, in metallic silver marker. Other phrases and acronyms appear as well, such as "SYGAOWN", for "Stop Your Genocide Against Our White Nations."

Perhaps Hochul was told that the rifle was "modified" with silver Sharpie, and misunderstanding the message, took this to mean that the rifle was changed in some illegal, deadlier fashion.

The alternate explanation? That yet another progressive politician is seeking to exaggerate an already tragic situation to further a political agenda.

Not "incorrect". It's a flat out LIE!

Absolutely! She knew she was lying but hopes the lie spreads before it is corrected.
